Lasallian Partners took part in the first webinar sponsored by the Integrated School (IS) Guidance and Counseling Center for this school year entitled “Fostering Psychological Well-Being in the New Normal”, August 11, 2020, via MS Teams.
Dr. Lovely Lucky Evarretta, the De La Salle Lipa Psychology Department Chair, served as resource speaker. She shared ways to promote wellness inside and out especially in this new normal scheme.
According to her, “We can achieve a healthy work-life balance by establishing boundaries, allotting a quiet space, unplugging, allocating your time, listen to and loving yourself more.” She also mentioned techniques to focus on things one can do to contribute to his health and well-being. These include using time mindfully, getting back into an old hobby, or developing a new one.
The new normal has definitely changed the way Lasallians worked these past months. The work-from-home setup brought with it schemes that allowed Partners to utilize technological tools – making collaboration, communication, and other aspects possible remotely. But with such, balance has to be achieved as well. Aside from being productive at work, one has to see to it that his or her inner wellness is likewise cared for.
